The Middle Eastern Music Festival is a celebrated annual event that brings artists from the Middle East, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean together with students from all over the world to learn and experience the musical traditions of those regions.

The Middle Eastern Music Festival is a celebrated annual event that brings artists from the Middle East, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean together with students from all over the world to learn and experience the musical traditions of those regions.
This year's edition, The Music of Persia, will bring into focus various traditions from the Balkans and the Caucasus, with an emphasis on music of Iran. It will feature Tar and Setar virtuoso and Iranian musician Sahba Motallebi and Iranian Kamancheh player Mehdi Bagheri, the Pletenitsa Balkan Choir- Official, the Middle Eastern Fusion Festival Band, the Berklee World Strings (directed by Eugene Friesen), and many other special guests.
This year's 7th edition of the festival will also feature Bulgarian and Serbian music. A look back at our Balkan edition a couple of years ago, also featuring a host of incredible musicians and dancers!

ALSO: On March 2 (one day before the show) at 1pm there will be the Music of Iran Clinic which will be a good introduction to those of you who are not familiar with the Persian music.
